It's Been A Useful Day, Pooh

As always, we seem to have been busy recently, but I couldn't be specific about what we've been up to. Catching up with life I think! However, after a pretty gloomy week, the forecast was good today, so we decided to get out in the garden and have a tidy up, it's that time of year again. First up we stacked the logs that OH had cut at his brother's house and then split during the week, then I put a second coat of paint on the planters in front of the shed while OH got his toys out and warmed up. We then moved to the back garden and raked up leaves (OH had the leaf-blower attachment on his petrol strimmer, I used the old-fashioned rake!). After that we put the guttering back on the shed and took the summer shading off of OH's big greenhouse. It's amazing how much difference you can make in a day.

Finally, isn't the Virginia Creeper looking good this year? It seems to have been ideal conditions for autumn colour, we haven't seen it looking this pretty ever, I don't think.

Well done - you now deserve some honey! Mind you, it all looks great. And the oaks STILL have plenty of leaves for you to rake up.

A full log store is a lovely sight!

Your first line could well describe my week - not quite sure what I did but I know it kept me busy {smile}

Your tidy-up certainly made it all look good.

In common with you and Bilbo, I don't really know what I did last week, but it was tiring doing it.
